Welcome to the 'home' of Nada Zeidan, Arab world's sports icon.
A pioneer in her chosen field, Nada is an extraordinary woman, who has overcome many challenges, and emerged a source of inspiration for many young girls across the Arab world wanting to take up sports.
She has represented Qatar in archery at two Asian Games (2002 and 2006). She is also the first woman Rally driver in the region, having taken part even in the World Rally Championship.
Nada Zeidan was born on October 11, 1976, in Lebanon. She is the eldest among her 10 siblings. Between 1975 and 1990, over 700,000 people in Lebanon were displaced. The civil war had a disastrous impact on the people of that country. About 3 per cent of the population was killed during the fighting, 4 per cent were injured, and about a third was displaced.
The Zeidans moved to Qatar in 1980, when Nada was just four years old.
